About Ming

Food is such a very important part of our lives. 
No matter how busy our days mealtimes have always offered us time with our families, shared conversations with friends, and moments of respite and reflection. 
At Ming we want to make these experiences the most memorable and enjoyable they can be. 
While Ming is brand new owner and director Tony Yan (ex Botanical Hotel) has worked next to some of the best chefs around. He’s the proud father of thriving St Kilda Café Space and a firm believer in the magical way great food can bring people together. Tony saw Ming as the perfect opportunity to combine his traditional Chinese heritage and love of all things Australian with a unique, high end take on Asian Fusion.  

Ming has been designed with different spaces to allow diners to choose what best suits them. From an intimate space for a semi-private affair to a few after work drinks in the lavish bar or sunken terrace, Tony wants you to choose what best suits you. 

Despite the high calibre of the food and it’s picture perfect presentation Tony wants everyone who comes to Ming to feel at home.
